We are raising money for three charities – one in Sudan, one in the UK and one in Gambia.
Sudan
Good Morning Teacher is a campaign by the Diocese of Bradford to raise funds to build schools in their link Dioceses in Northern Sudan. In Sudan, the local church and community raise the modest fees for each student but the costs of permanent structures such as classrooms is out of reach of most people. The Bishops in the area have each asked whether we can help build more classrooms to cater for the growing number of children who are queuing to get into school.
El Thawra ECS Primary School Diocese of Khartoum
This school has 425 pupils crammed onto benches in nine classrooms —there
is no room for desks. Khartoum Diocese wants to purchase the plot of land
next door, and on the combined site to build permanent and larger classrooms.
We have been asked to help with the cost of land and the first classroom.
UK
Macmillan
Cancer Support improves the lives of people affected by cancer. They are
a source of support: providing practical, medical, emotional and financial
aid. They are also a force for change: listening to people affected by cancer
and working together for better cancer care. One in three of us will get cancer.
1.2 million of us are already living with it. We are all affected by cancer.
Macmillan listen, learn, and act to help people live with cancer.

Donations
There are several ways of donating - either direct to one of the charities or to the "How hard can it be?" fund. If you are a UK tax payer, and would like one of our chosen charities to reclaim the tax on your gift, then we suggest you donate direct to the charity of your choice either using the link below, or by clicking on one of the widgets above.
How to donate
Donations direct to "How hard can it be?" can be sent to the address on our contact page, (cheques made payable to "How hard can it be"). You can also make donations through our Paypal account direct from here by clicking on the button below.
Alternatively, you can give direct (via credit or debit card) to Macmillan Cancer Support or to the Good Morning Teacher campaign through the Just Giving website. We do need to keep the pages separate for each charity (legal reasons related to Gift Aid), so please choose the charity of your choice and click either on the logo below or on one of the widgets near the top of this page, to reach the correct site. Please note - any donations will go direct to the charities, and are not being used to pay for the trip (although if you would like to help with costs or support, we would love to hear from you).
Thank you for your support.
